Hand crafted necklace and earring set made of Bronzite dual drilled center piece, glass seed beads and bronze clasp and ear wire. The centerpiece is not removable.

Materials:

• Bronzite two hole gem stone (1 inch wide, ½ inch tall)
  
• Bronzite rondelle gem stone
  
• Glass seed beads
  
• Bronze craft ear wire
  
• Bronze bead caps
  
• Bronze clasp
  

 

Necklace: I designed this necklace to work well with my favorite color, off white. The beads are glass and the soft gray thread is thermally fused and made in the USA. The glass seed beads have a soft lighter sheen than the Bronzite. The Bronzite rondelle shaped stones are 4mm. The pattern used with these beads cause an interesting square effect using the two hole Bronzite gem stone. Earrings: These earrings enhance the necklace by using the glass seed beads bordered by the Bronzite rondelle. The seed beads are from the same dye lot as the necklace.

 

Care and cleaning:

Hand wash necklace and earrings using household dish soap and water. Lay flat to dry overnight. You can use standard jeweler’s polishing cloth on the earring posts. I do not recommend chemical cleaning because it may discolor the glass beads.

 

About Bead Crochet:

Seed bead crochet is labor intensive, dating back to the early 1820’s.  Each tiny bead is touched 3 times to build the spiral rope.

First touch: All beads are strung onto the cord in a predetermined pattern.

Second touch: Crochet the first row of beads, adding one bead with each stitch and determines the diameter of the rope.

Third touch: The subsequent rows are crocheted into each stitch of the previous row adding one new bead while flipping the previous bead to the side.
