Hand crafted necklace made of Czech glass seed beads and Bronzite gemstone. The seed beads are ivory and turquoise tone. The different sizes of the beads cause the swirl effect.

Materials:

• Czech glass seed beads
  
• Bronzite 4mm rondelles
  
• Bronze toggle clasp
  

 

 

Necklace:

I enjoy building the unique swirl necklaces. Love the way they feel and look.

 

Care and cleaning:

Hand wash necklace using household dish soap and water. Lay flat to dry overnight. I do not recommend chemical cleaning because it may discolor the beads. Use a soft cotton cloth to enhance the sparkle.

 

About Bead Crochet:

Seed bead crochet is labor intensive, dating back to the early 1820’s. Each tiny bead is touched 3 times to build the spiral rope.

First touch: All beads are strung onto the cord in a predetermined pattern.

Second touch: Crochet the first row of beads, adding one bead with each stitch and determines the diameter of the rope.

Third touch: The subsequent rows are crocheted into each stitch of the previous row adding one new bead while flipping the previous bead to the side.
