Hand crafted necklace made of Argillite, Turquoise nuggets and Smoky Quartz.  The necklace is crocheted with 3 ply fused line.  Argillite is a sedimentary rock that does not split easily and is formed of consolidated clay.  The Turquoise nuggets are a green hue, complementing the Argillite.   The Smoky Quartz pull out the charcoal colors in the Argillite.

Necklace:

This handmade necklace is designed to center dual hold pendant and enhance the colors using the Argillite. The green turquoise are varying sizes of 2mm to 4mm nuggets.  The Smoky Quartz is 5mm tube beads.  The bronze findings are solid, not plated.

Special Note:

The structural design of this necklace pattern is by Carmen’s Beads and Bling (beadsbycarmen@gmail.com) and the dual drilled Argillite stone is from DiWolf fine stone emporium (http://www.diwolf.com/)

Care and cleaning:

Hand wash necklace using household dish soap and water. Lay flat to dry overnight. DO NOT wash the pendant, just use a soft cloth. I do not recommend chemical cleaning because it may discolor the gemstones.

AboutBead Crochet:

Seed bead crochet is labor intensive, dating back to the early 1820’s.Each tiny bead is touched 3 times to build the spiral rope.

First touch: All beads are strung onto the cord in a predetermined pattern.

Second touch: Crochet the first row of beads, adding one bead with each stitch and determines the diameter of the rope.

Third touch: The subsequent rows are crocheted into each stitch of the previous row adding one new bead while flipping the previous bead to the side.
